Il grassello di calce e' un materiale tradizionale traspirante. negli anni utilzzato per lo piu' nella bio-edilizia,come legante di muri in pietra. normalmente lo uso mischiato a sabbia di fiume con una granulometria variabile in base alle parti che devo riprendere o restaurare, e lo tingo con terre e polveri recuperati degli intonaci precedenti nello stesso edificio, se possibile procurato anticipatamente con accordi con la proprieta’ o l’ impresa precedente al mio arrivo. lo rafforzo, talvolta, in base alla necessita’ con una piccola porzione di cemento.per renderlo meno polveroso, ma solo se strettamente necessario. ottenendo un ottimo risultato molto simile all’originale, considerato la mia preparazione artistica e da scenografo, riesco ad ottenere ottimi risultati cromatici e materici.
Nel caso della decorazione di interni preparo i campioni di piccole dimensioni misurando con la bilancia elettronica porzioni di grassello e di pigmenti, ossidi e terre. nelle case con pareti traspiranti e’ una validissima decorazione, una alternativa veloce ed economica al marmorino, lo stucco veneziano e fiorentino che sono parte della sua grande famiglia. Ho inventato anche delle soluzioni per renderlo agrappante a superficie lisce e non traspiranti come le piastrelle per evitare la loro demolizione e nascondere completamente la presenza di fughe sottostanti. lo tratto in superficie con cera a base di sapone di marsiglia.

Utilizzo le pietre locali, nell' impossibilita' , me ne procuro nei cantieri edili che le vendono usate o di fabbricazione artificiale. Ne cerco le piu' appropriate, nella fabbricazione di piccoli archi o per la creazione di nicchie,soglie,davanzali, o nella ricreazione di pareti o scale. le tratto in superficie se necessario. con latte e jogurt per ricreare velocemente i licheni e muschi che ne valorizzano la qualita' dell'usura del tempo.

E' molto malneabile, seguo le ricette insegnatemi da un mio maestro cesellatore che ho seguito fin da ragazzo.. del quale ho trascritto il sapere prima della sua scomparsa. mi ha insegnato i rudimenti della sua lavorazione.Lo ossido con la fiamma, l’acqua e la borace e l’aria, lo modifico con il martello e gli attrezzi che mi ha lasciato in custodia.

Tecnica conosciuta gia da Etruschi e Romani, si prepara un foro sottosquadro che accogliera’ il ferro battuto dove si inserira’ il ferro medesimo, con un crogiuolo si sciogliera’ il metallo e si versera’ il liquido all’interno del sottosquadro ottenendo cosi’ un materiale unico resistentissimo alle sollecitazioni.

Prediligo L'acciaio nella creazione di oggetti di interni, che stanno a contatto con i cibi, nel design, e per la realizzazione di strutture per esterno, come gazebo o strutture per accogliere glicini,gelsomini,edere o qualsiasi pianta rampicante. Lo imbullono a precedenti strutture in sicurezza garantendo una tenuta praticamente assoluta. Nel caso di muri in mattoni forati o cemento armato lo agrappo con resine bicomponenti, con camica o senza e barre filettate da 14mm. L'aumento dei costi del materiale e della sua lavorazione e' ampliamente ripagato dalla tua durata e dalla sua resistenza agli ossidi. La mia lavorazione solitamente prevede rilievi, progetto e realizzazione con l'ausilio di calandratura specializzata in base all'esigenza del progetto medesimo. Lo tratto solitamente ed esclusivamente con uno smeriglio fino e paglietta metallica e pasta abrasiva.
